Sort of.
She left me a message to explain (though I knew already) that she left the phone off the hook for close to two weeks because she didn't want to deal with a "crazy" repairman with whom she was disputing a bill. So at least she got in touch with me, but as far as she's concerned there's nothing abnormal about a 72 year old woman who lives alone with no outside contacts leaving the phone off the hook for two weeks.
